When we were in New Orleans this past January I had the opportunity to take a one-on-one workshop with professional photographer David Speilman.  David has been a photographer in New Orleans for over 40 years and he is most famous for his black and white photography.  On a previous visit, I stopped in his gallery located in the Garden District where all of his pictures displayed are B&W.  This experience got me very interested in B&W photography.  During this workshop, David took me to several parts of New Orleans where we photographed many interesting buildings and sites.  Learning from David helped me to hone my skills as an amateur photographer especially in the art of composing the picture. You will see the results of this through this portfolio where many of the pictures are B&W.
